Tarnished (Perfected #2) by Kate Jarvik Birch Release Date: 2015 Entangled Teen Summary from Goodreads: Freedom comes at a cost… Ella was genetically engineered to be the perfect pet—graceful, demure…and kept. In a daring move, she escaped her captivity and took refuge in Canada. But while she can think and act as she pleases, the life of a liberated pet is just as confining as the Congressman’s gilded cage. Her escape started a revolution, but she’s trapped, unable to get back to Penn—the boy she loves—or help the girls who need her. Back in the United States, pets are turning up dead. With help from a very unexpected source, Ella slips deep into the dangerous black market, posing as a tarnished pet available to buy or sell. If she’s lucky, she’ll be able to rescue Penn and expose the truth about the breeding program. If she fails, Ella will pay not only with her life, but the lives of everyone she’s tried to save… Buy Links: Amazon│Barnes & Noble│Kobo Books My Review Tarnished caught me off guard. There is so much more going on than I had intially thought! It is so much more...

Blog Tour: That Night by Lisa McManus

THAT NIGHT Lisa McManus Evernight Teen Publishing,  31,000 words Genre: Teen/Contemporary/Romance/Suicide/Bullying   It can take a whole day to figure out what happened…that night. On what was to be just another Monday morning at school, Luke’s girlfriend Jessica is nowhere to be found. Names like ‘psycho lover’ follow Luke to his locker, even from his best friend. Luke soon learns Jessica tried to kill herself at a party from the previous Saturday night, and she’s blaming him. With posts on FaceBook feeding the rumors of what happened that night, the school has to investigate. Torn between worry, guilt, loyalty, priorities, and an urgency to clear his name and protect hers, he has to find her—he loves her no matter what. The teacher in the middle of the investigation is also the same one to provide academic and character references for Luke’s college applications due by the end of the week. Luke knows he’s not to blame, but with no contact from Jessica and everyone blaming him for what happened, he’s at risk of losing everything—Jessica and his dreams of being a mechanic—all because of what happened that night.   Buy Links:  ARe     Amazon     Evernight Teen Follow the tour stops HERE.   Excerpt: “Hey, man.” I nodded to Jeremy Waters as I started the long trek up the front lawn of the school. He nodded back but gave...

Wrap Up: November 2015

Hello Readers This is my wrap-up for the month of November. Its basically my Week In Books posts for the month consolidated. I’m wondering if to scrap this altogether …Hmm! Maybe i will. Anyway let’s get on with it, shall we? Note: Some of these books I started reading in October and finished in November and quite a few were under or little over 200 pages, making them quick reads. Ebooks I Read   Hardcopies Read AudioBooks   Hauled (includes hardcopies and ebooks)   Received For Review   So…that was my November wrap-up! I read quite a few books and I’m happy about that. I plan however to cut back on the number of ‘reading for reviews’ so that I can get to some of the books I’ve hauled. Cheers!   http://Follow my blog with...

Book Blitz: Choices by Alexander F. Patterson

Choices Alexander Patterson Publication date: December 8th 2015 Genres: Fantasy, Historical, Young Adult Richard Örlendr died over a thousand years ago. He lived in Norway during the Germanic Iron Age and trusted in the judgement of the gods. That is not to say he did not question them when they gave him a dragon, nor did he blindly follow their orders when they told him to go to war. But, when one god told him to kill another, Richard was unable to rely on their wisdom. He had to turn to the Norns. The Norns guide fate. They shape it past, present, and future; however, it is not set in stone. A hero can change his fate. A hero can chose his destiny. The Norns can weave a new life, but what happens if the Norns are dead? Do heroes have greater freedom? Or are they locked into their destiny since there is no one left to weave? Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble Are you a reviewer? Request a review copy of Choices here! — AUTHOR Q&A: What made you want to write this? I had been tinkering with the idea of a story revolving around a hatchling for about a year when I had the first of many surreal dreams. I walked out of a subway station, it was dark and the streets were deserted. Within...

Five years in witness protection will do that. It didn’t however prepare her for when everything and everyone surrounding her suddenly froze at the bus stop. All still like statues. When she confronts them the teens vanish. Literally vanish. Intrigued why Cate wasn’t frozen at the bus stop, the teens pursue her relentlessly. They arrive at Socrates Private School and all the teachers and the other students act like they’ve known them all forever– like they’ve always attended the school. Cate sees something different. She is adamant they are totally new to Socrates and have never set foot in the school before today. What’s with that? When Cate accidentally brings a dead cheerleader back to life, her connection to the secretive teens is revealed. They are Timesurfers who travel through time and battle the powerful dark forces intent on manipulating history. A reluctant Cate is forced into their brutal world.
